Color-Tree Xpress Overview
ColorTree Xpress is the industry-leading software
for on-demand production of Signs, Tags or Labels. It is
most well suited for Garden Centers, Greenhouses or small Growers.
Large wholesale Growers are better suited with Color-Tree Pro.
ColorTree Xpress comes complete with botanical information, professional
photography (optional), & pre-defined templates for over 4800 varieties of plants
(Trees, Shrubs, Vines, Groundcovers, Perennials and Annuals).
After the initial setup procedure of building your custom
List from the MasterList and keying in your unique fields (your Retail
price, SKU, UPC, or custom descriptions), printing is as simple as 3
mouse clicks:
1) Select the product(s) & quantity that you want to
print
2) Choose the Template that you want to use
3) Click the Print Button....
and a few seconds later you have weather-durable, glossy, vibrant
colored marketing materials rolling off the printer!
ColorTree runs on the Microsoft Access platform and requires the
presence of Access 2003 or higher on the target PC.

Main Menu:
The main menu allows you to enter into any of the submenus to define
or edit PRODUCTS, to view or print REPORTS, to edit your default
SETTINGS, or to EXIT the program.
Products Menu:
The Products Menu displays all of the individual products that you have
saved, specific to your company.
To print from Color-Tree Xpress:"
- Find the item(s) that you want from the list.
- You can either scroll through the list using the vertical
scroll bar, or use any of the drop down
Filters at the top of
the list to quickly narrow your search by Botanical name, Common
name, Genus or Categories.
- You can double click on any item to view the
Inventory page for that item.
The Inventory page displays
all of the particulars for that product (the photo, the size,
the description, the UPC, etc).
- Enter the QTY.
- If you are printing signs, and you only want 1 of each,
simply click in the Print column, which will automatically
populate the QTY field with "1". If you want more than
one, type that quantity into the QTY field.
- Choose the LABEL Template from the drop down list.
- Select the PRINT button.
- Of course, you should make sure that you have the correct
media size in the printer before printing (if you're printing
signs, make sure that Sign media is in the printer).
- Depending on some variables (speed of your PC, connection,
and printer), your sign will be ready for field use in about
9-15 seconds!
